Brake wire
Hydraulics is commonly used in the brake system of all modern two-wheelers. This is because liquids do not compress and whatever pressure is generated in the master cylinder, brake fluid is directly moved through the brake lines into the calipers. In this process the brake pads is pushed out against the rotor, creating friction and stopping the two-wheeler.

Parts of a Brake Line
Brake lines has four parts by which it preforms the brake work.
  • The fittings on the end: It can be made of either steel or aluminum.
  • The teflon inner sleeve: It contains the brake fluid.
  • The material around the sleeve: They are of key importance in making the brake line perform. They should be flexible and strong to protect the expansion of the telfon during the braking process.
  • The outer coating: It protects the brake wire/brake line as well the vehicle from wear.
Materials used for making Brake Wire
Some of the most common materials used for making motorcycle brake line are:
  • Stainless Steel
  • Carbon Fiber
  • Teflon
Maintenance of Motorcycle Brake Line
  • Proper bleeding of brake line is necessary to ensure that there is no air there.
