Parts of a Brake Line
Brake lines has four parts by which it preforms the brake work.
- The fittings on the end: It can be made of either steel or aluminum.
- The teflon inner sleeve: It contains the brake fluid.
- The material around the sleeve: They are of key importance in making the brake line perform. They should be flexible and strong to protect the expansion of the telfon during the braking process.
- The outer coating: It protects the brake wire/brake line as well the vehicle from wear.
Some of the most common materials used for making motorcycle brake line are:
- Stainless Steel
- Carbon Fiber
- Teflon
- Proper bleeding of brake line is necessary to ensure that there is no air there.
- There should not be any water in the brake line, it will lead to corrosion.
- Brake lines should be checked for rust which can leak the lines.
