A clutch cover is composed of a
clutch housing and diaphragm spring that is used to press the axially
displaceable pressure plate. The cover provides protection for clutch
components by minimizing unnecessary weight.

Functions of Clutch Covers
Transfer engine torque to the clutch disc with the help of a
transmission input shaft. The covers are specially designed to provide
ventilation and to help the clutch remain cool and clean. Houses the
clutch components and attaches them to the flywheel.
