Turn Signal/Indicator
Turn signals or indicators are a blinking/flashing light on a motor vehicle that indicates the direction in which the vehicle is about to turn. Motorcycle turn signals are mounted near the left and right front and rear corners or sometimes on the sides of the vehicle.

Characteristics of Motorcycle Turn Indicator/Signal
  • They are required to blink ON and OFF at a steady rate of between 60 and 120 blinks per minute.
  • There are two signals on the back and two on the front.
Types of Turn Signal/Indicator
  • The turn signal button has to be pressed to cancel the signal.
  • Has a timer that turns them OFF automatically.
  • Has a slant indicator that recognizes when the vehicle has leaned over to turn and then righted itself after the turn.
Functions of Turn Signals/Indicators
The sole purpose of the signal indicator is to indicate the direction which the vehicle is about to take. It warns others and helps to avoid accidents.
